During the Great Depression, a penniless young woman takes shelter in an abandoned house, believed to be haunted by its former owner. She only wanted a place to sleep for the evening, but finds that she isn’t alone, and that some people who have entered the house have never come out.

A House of Ill Fame has played at film festivals in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Portland. The crew was made up of members from the Scary Cow filmmaking cooperative.
